SUMMARY OF THE JOB:

In this role, a person will provide Hallmark University undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni with access to quality career readiness and placement resources. The primary outcome is the placement of HU graduates in their chosen career field.  The CSA will equip students with excellent non-program career readiness tools, create and maintain strong industry relationships, and pro-actively engage in graduate placements.

Work primarily Monday – Friday, from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., as well as evenings as needed, to coordinate and deliver special events, workshops, and meetings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Career Readiness and Placement
• Update and present scheduled resume workshops, interview workshops, and job search training for on-ground (classroom setting) and on-line students.
• Coordinate with University departments, faculty and staff in order to deliver effective training to students.
• Actively promote student employment opportunities through Blackboard postings, onsite employer visits, public job fairs and other effective resources.
• Engage in institution-wide initiatives that promote students’ gainful employment and encourage applicable certification or licensure per degree plan.
• Participate in campus activities as requested by the DIR.
• Maintain student data base (CampusVue) with professional resumes, workshop completion information and graduation preparation requirements.

Reporting and Compliance
• Maintain a placement rate of 90% or better per academic program within each graduating class, within the fields of IT, Business, Healthcare and Aviation Management.
• Report and track 90/90 placement rates in CampusVue.
• Responsible for accurately reporting employment rates to the DIR for annual ACCSC accreditor reports.
• Work in collaboration with Department of Regulatory Compliance to ensure accuracy of key data from G&E (graduation and employment) charts and reporting time periods.

Industry Relations
• Communicate with interested employers of Hallmark University graduates in order to facilitate the successful placement of students.
• Create new industry relationships and foster current relationships that communicate the value Hallmark University, and its graduates offer to the business community.
• Seek to build mutually beneficial industry partnerships with companies that align with Hallmark’s Mission Statement.

PROFESSIONAL/PUBLIC ACTIVITIES: (OPTIONAL)
• Must participate in the Hallmark Character program.

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with key job search skills including resume building, interviewing techniques and job search best practices.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and ability to learn basic database and other software applications.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work tasks and projects in order to meet timelines and ensure quality deliverables.
• Ability to effectively present to small and mid-sized groups.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED-
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university.
• 3 -5 years of related work experience.
• Ability to work effectively with business industry professionals, students, and department faculty and staff.
• Outstanding client services skills and attributes.
• Knowledge of career placement tools and techniques.

PREFERRED-
• Demonstrated experience in an educational environment instructing or advising students, or experience in a business setting performing placement, employment training, or related functions.
• Experience working in the aviation industry (for aviation campus only).
• A&P License a plus (for aviation campus only).
